Went for a walk through Windsor Great Park this morning. Saw two estate agent boards outside houses near the Long Walk. Both marked as sold subject to contract. That is quick movement for September.
The Crown Estate released their annual review late last week. Rental income from the Windsor portfolio is up 4.7 percent across retail and residential. The new leisure development near the town centre is taking shape. Steel frame is visible above the hoardings now. Two operators have signed for the food hall space already. No confirmation on who yet.
Local letting agents I spoke to are busy. Tenant demand is steady. The usual seasonal dip in enquiries has not happened this year. They attribute it to more remote workers wanting space near the river and the park. The town centre footfall is unchanged from last month. Parking remains the main complaint I hear.
The datacentre proposal south of the M4 has gone back for consultation. Traffic impact assessment is due in two weeks. That will be a deciding factor for the planning committee.
